The river gives the valley its character. It's a source of pure drinking water, an amazing natural swimming pool and a very destructive force at certain times, which easily plugs out huge trees and whirls them around like toothpicks! Therefore we are protecting the river side towards the house with gabion baskets. The riverside was planted then with bananas, papaya, coconut and mango trees.

formerly turned into gravel by the river.
