We got some 'setback' but Allah knows everything better.

• First, our neighbour Senol did not, like expected, proceed with the building of his house and asked instead for his name to be deleted from the project.
• Secondly, AirAsia suspended its flights from Kuala Lumpur to Manado, which makes the planned Islamic Resort less attractive.
• Thirdly, also our friends from Singapore did not make much efforts to promote the Resort until now, so we have to think if it does not make more sense to just keep building private houses and rent them out during the time the owners do not need them.

The Villa concept looks only feasible now with somebody already having enough clients like a travel agency. But eventually the Resort will grow anyway insyaAllah.

After all, it shows again how fragile the world economy is, with the world's most famous low budget airline suddenly in financial troubles, and what impact it has on our private lives. Substantial economy like rural agriculture seem to be less vulnerable and although not bringing high returns on investment, are a better preparation for hard times to come, and if it should be only for self-supply.

But there is some progress as well. We are preparing the horse stable (8m * 7m run-in shed), paddock (25m * 50m), round pen (18m ø) and horseback-archery track. One Egyptian brother, who was our guest recently and has an Indonesian wife as well, might join us soon insyaAllah.
