1) One of our goats was eaten by a five meter long Python on Wednesday! The snake came at nighttime. Because she was so heavy after her meal, she could not escape out of the goat stable anymore and became victim herself. The workers came in the morning and killed her.
Now that the boars already ruined our manioc plantation, we consider getting a dog at last. A Python is of course not afraid of dogs but insyaAllah a dog makes enough noise. Sheik Imran also said we should keep a dog in these times but well, let's see...
We already received complaints from several people, all male, that the snake was killed, "what a beautiful animal"! Only one sister said: "Poor goat" ;-)! Perceptions are different ;-)! Just to clarify: I was not at the place at that time but in Manado! I told already the workers if possible not to kill it the next time but to try to catch it only. Anyway, people told me that as long as they were working in the valley, which is about 20 years, it was the first time a snake decended from the jungle. So do not panic!
 2) We have now finished working on the rental contract. It still can be revised, and we welcome suggestions and criticism.
It appeared to be a logical conclusion that a legal eviction of somebody from the valley may only take place because of criminal acts and things termed in Shariah 'enormities', with a few exceptions, BUT NOT because of not obeying the Amir! This can "only" be a moral obligation. The project is therefore built on the goodwill of the participants!
This is an important time where a lot of the future of the place is decided insyaAllah. Because we have no Shura yet at the place we like to discuss the problems with the interested parties, and we hope you will partake (at least with a Du'a)!

Please note that the price for the rent in this draft is not the real price. Little things were changed because of feed back from others.
We also fixed now the price of the management costs for the building of a house (if people want us to manage the building) at 10% of the overall costs instead of the initial 15%. We will hopefully soon be able to offer some building suggestions which can be modified individually then.
3) We have bought a bit more land (now we own approx. 17 ha) and are in the process of buying more in order to fulfill our promise to give to everybody renting a place also 2500 m2 as a garden for permaculture in the forest.
